The City Mission operates by employing over 175 local PNG staff in the three cities in which we operate and by recruiting Missionaries from overseas to fill senior management roles of the Mission. We are frequently searching for committed Christians that feel called and have a heart to serve the Lord in Papua New Guinea.
The main areas of employment available for Missionaries are listed below and these positions become vacant from time to time. As the recruiting processes in PNG can take several months to complete and there are requirement for work permits and visas to be issued, we recommend that you start the process early by applying for one of these positions.
1. Chief Executive Officer over our three Missions situated in Port Moresby, Lae and Madang. (This person would be based in Port Moresby PNG.)
2. General Manager’s to oversee the running of each of the three Missions.
3. Financial Controller to oversee the Mission accounts.(This person would be based in Port Moresby.)
4. Vocational Training Manager’s to supervise and train our clients in each of the three Missions.
5 Administrator with Grant Writing experience.
(This person would be based in Port Moresby)
Missionaries are provided with rent free accommodation, free gas and electricity and shared use of Mission vehicles. We do encourage them to try and raise their own support but a small living allowance is provided for those that do not have sufficient support.
