City Mission PNG Ltd. enjoys an excellent reputation as registered non-profit NGO in Papua New Guinea. For over twenty five years we have consistently helped the neediest people in PNG with support and services not available through the government or other agencies. All of our services are provided absolutely free of charge to our clients.
Conservatively, City Mission provides over 410,000 meals each year for our clients in the various facilities. Other direct-to-client costs include utilities, medical supplies, toiletries, educational materials and other consumables. To these we must add staff salaries, overhead and costs for vehicles, fuel and other organizational necessities. The needs grow as we expand our services and the cost of living rises.
Would you consider donating to help with the needs?
Over the years City Mission has enjoyed the partnership of large and small businesses, international organizations and individuals. Some of our large development projects have been funded by AusAid, the EU, Child Fund and other international organizations. Locally, food, clothing, furniture, vehicles and other in-kind donations have made it possible for us to me the needs of thousands of PNG citizens over the years.
Local trade stores have provided rice, flour, canned goods, feed for our livestock and other necessities. Larger businesses have funded special projects like education and building dorms. One international company provided a scholarship fund boys graduating the program. Every donation – whether large or small, cash or in-kind – has made an impact on our ability to meet human needs. Volunteer Work
Perhaps you would rather get involved directly. We have individuals who have donated their time and talents to help us. From skilled labor and teaching skills to holding babies, there is something almost anyone can do.
Many organizations and businesses have provided groups to spend a day helping us with building projects, landscaping, painting, church services, Christmas programs and more.
